In the upcoming election, multiple feelings regarding the two remaining candidates come to play. Whether you're a die-hard Democrat and believe Hillary is the best candidate for the United States or you believe Trump will "Make America Great Again," both opinions are valid. However, there is a large number of "undecided" voters who either really are undecided or simply don't want either candidate in office. There is a group of people who think to vote for the third party candidate, Gary Johnson, is America's only hope in not running to ruins. However, if you choose to vote for the third party candidate, or someone else other than Hillary or Trump, you are essentially wasting your vote.
Let me make a quick disclaimer: This article is not to sway your vote towards Hillary or Trump. It's simply to remind you that if choose to vote for someone other than the last two candidates standing, you will be throwing your vote away. I'm also not going to list the negative aspects either candidate has because this article would go on for entirely too long.
If you are a true believer in what Gary Johnson plans to do with this country, then by all means, use your vote on him. But if you're merely voting for Johnson in spite of Hillary and Trump, consider the big picture.
First, we'll look at Hillary Clinton.
If you use your vote on Hillary, you are voting for the first female president of the United States. You are voting for someone with political background and experience. Hillary plans to work to end gun violence, not guns altogether, just gun violence. She also plans to work on the economy and look into creating more jobs and increasing worker's wages. Hillary plans to create "an economy that works for everyone."
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the other candidate, Donald Trump.
If you use your vote on Trump, you are voting for someone with essentially no political background whatsoever. However, Trump plans to place people in positions who have the power and knowledge to "Make America Great Again." Trump plans to control the immigration system while prioritizing American's rights first. Trump is "Pro-Life" and is opposed to government funding used for abortion.
Both candidates clearly have different stances on things. The majority of the people of the United States will vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. As previously stated, there are some "undecided" voters who are selecting to vote for Gary Johnson as president. I strongly urge you to reconsider your vote if you are considering voting for Johnson. Your vote will not make a difference if you use it for Gary Johnson but it will make a difference if you vote for either of the other two candidates.
Again, this article isn't here to sway you towards or away from Trump or Hillary. It is here to remind you that your vote matters and it matters a great deal in this election. Learn more about each of the candidate's stances and vote for which candidate you find most fitting. So please, use your vote as you best see fit but vote where it matters.
