I'm A Woman, And I'm Voting For Trump

Seriously, why is she even a candidate?

I'm A Woman, And I'm Voting For Trump

Alright y'all, here we go. Hear me out.

The 2016 presidential election is the first I have ever been able to be a part of, since I'm legally allowed to vote. I was in eighth grade when Obama was inaugurated, and I watched it on TV during my Social Studies class, but didn't really know why it was important or why I should care.

Well, now, I know why my vote matters and why it concerns me. I'm not really Liberal or Conservative, I tend to side more with the party who I think will make the most change, sides most with my views, and will actually do something for this country. Independent, if you will.

First of all, Clinton has a LOT of blood on her hands. She admitted to deleting the 33,000 e-mails, because "she had no reason to save them"; whether people want to believe that or not is on them. She's not trustworthy by any means.

Second, Clinton disagrees with fire arms, and gun ownership. I don't know about you, but I believe in keeping firearms in the case I, or my family, would ever need to protect ourselves. With the way the world is going, I will need to use self-defense at some point in my life.

Third, she agrees with Obamacare. It was a good idea at first, and look where it's at now. Yeah, this idea just isn't good at all, and mmmm, no.

Fourth, really, Hillary? Agreeing to let illegal immigrants become citizens? Come on now. They are illegal for a reason. If they were legal and wanted to become a citizen, woo that's great. I guess she's just too happy with doing illegal things to realize that it's not right, or legal.

Fifth, just because she's a woman, and I'm a woman, doesn't mean I'm going to automatically vote for her. If she weren't a lying dimwit, and actually had meaningful ideas to put forth for this country, it would be cool to have the first woman president. However, she IS a dimwit, and I'm not going to support having someone who has as much blood and lies on her table being the president. Not sorry.

Alright, so now Trump.

First, he agrees with gun ownership and self defense. That's a +1 in my book.

Second, he disagrees with Obamacare! Yay Trump!!

Third, he vouches for school choice. He doesn't agree with Common Core, which is really awesome. Common Core is awful and should be taken out of schools ASAP, because, once again, it. is. awful.

Fourth, in January, Trump stated that he believes abortion should be banned at some point in pregnancy, with exceptions for rape, incest or life of the mother. This, I agree with completely.

Fifth, yes, he bashes Clinton a lot during his speeches and through social media. I do wish that he would talk about his ideas and what he wants to do for this country more than listen to him talk about Clinton and how awful she is. But, he will do better than she ever would, and I believe that with no doubt.

I'm a woman, I'm an Independent, and I cannot stand Hillary Clinton. So, yes, I am voting for Donald Trump.

The end.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
