Volleyball has played a big role in my life since I was young, even though it may not seem like it. I have always been a fan of any type of sport, but volleyball was always my favorite. It had everything to do with endurance and flexibility.
Throughout my childhood I would play in the park with my father instead of being in the teams at school. I was usually too shy, because I didn't believe I was good enough, until I got to my junior year in high school.
I tried out for the team, although I wasn't one of the best, I got in. I practiced every afternoon from 3:15 to 6. It was intense, from drills to penalty work outs and in-team games. Although my team was very new to a sports team life, we did win some games, but not enough to go to end the season with a trophy, but we tried and that is what matters.
Volleyball was one of the small amount of ways I could interact with my father outside of home, since he was usually working. It allowed us to have many fun moments and create great memories, for me to, in moments like this, be able to share things that we did in the past.
