For most of us, college means moving hundreds of miles from home and saying goodbye to our closest friends, and making dozens of new friends at school. In the hustle of a new semester, you’re too busy to worry about your best friend from home, at their own college halfway across the country.
Sooner or later, we’re bound to miss them (and maybe our parents), and spring break is the perfect time to go home and catch up with old friends. Unfortunately, the lottery of college spring breaks doesn’t always work in our favor.
So what do you do when none of your friends from home have the same spring break as you? Make a road trip to their schools to visit them!
1. It feels like Christmas (or any holiday you might celebrate) when you make a date with your long-distance BFF.
2. Your BFF makes their dorm presentable before you arrive, even though you both know you don't really care.
3. In reality, you're driving safely to their school, but mentally, you look a little more like this.
4. You're finally on campus...
5. ...and more than a little lost.
6. It takes a dozen "where are you?" texts, but you finally find your best friend on their giant campus.
7. They give you an honest campus tour, pointing out notorious frat houses you should avoid at all costs.
8. Like any other college town, there's a popular fro-yo or bubble tea shop.
9. You and your best friend have wild shenanigans together.
10. You make sure everybody in town knows you and your BFF.
11. You're happy just to sit in the sunshine and do nothing, as long as you're together.
12. Eventually, you have to leave, and it goes something like this.
13. When you get home, you feel empty without your best friend...
14. ... and you wind up like this as soon as you start to miss them again.
