West Virginia is full of history, culture and beautiful views. From fishing, camping, ghost tours, eating, shopping, historical sights, and outdoor adventures, there is something for everyone in West Virginia! Fun for all ages can be found in the state. For your next vacay, check out the top spots in wild and wonderful West Virginia!

1. Summersville Lake

The clear waters of Summersville Lake will enchant you to come back. Water sports are massively popular in West Virginia. From boating, water skiing, kayaking, and even scuba diving, Summersville has it all! You can even rock climb and camp. Next time you are looking for a new lake to enjoy, check out Summersville! It won't disappoint.

2. Lewisburg

Love little towns with cute little shops? Lewisburg is for you then! A small town filled with little shops, great restaurants, cute bed and breakfast locations, several theatre options and for two weeks in August holds The State Fair of West Virginia. Lewisburg also holds a chocolate festival and the WV Winter Music Festival. It was also featured in Budget Travel's Coolest Small Towns in America! John Brown and his soldiers robbed a United States armory to arm slaves to abolish slavery. John Brown and his soldiers were defeated by United States Marines. 5. Morgantown

10. Green Bank Observatory

Love space? Do I have news for you! The Green Bank Observatory is a giant telescope that is answering our space questions daily. Located in Pocahontas County, the observatory is a great place for science lovers! You can take tours and see scientists in action. 11. Snowshoe Mountain

12. New River Gorge Bridge

The New River Gorge Bridge is located in Fayetteville, WV. It is most commonly known for Bridge Day, which is a festival where experienced jumpers parachute off the bridge. It is the longest single arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere and is beautifully located between two mountains with the New River located in the valley. You can even walk underneath the bridge on the Bridge Walk to see the view. The Gorge is a beautiful view in this beautiful state!

13. Cass Scenic Railroad State Park

This is a fall classic! This state park allows you to take a train ride around the West Virginia mountains. Take a blast to the past as you take a ride around the mountains. The 11-mile train ride allows you to see a view not many people have seen. Inside the park, there is also horseback riding, a general store, fishing, and boating. Cass holds fun for everyone!

14. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

It's almost Halloween! Do you know what that means? Haunted Houses! The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is listed as one of the top haunted places to visit in America. Thousands of people called this hospital home, and many of them are said to still be present here today. The asylum closed in the 1940s due to overcrowding, poor living conditions and changes in mentally ill-treatment. Today, it is open for haunted and historic tours. 15. Ace Adventures Resorts

Who doesn't love a waterpark? You're for sure to love this water park more than any other since it is on the water. Slides and water games float on top of the lake for fun for all ages! Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
