Boston has plenty more to offer from where that came from and if all else fails maybe just go toss some tea in the harbor?

Boston. The Hub. Good Old Beantown. It’s a city full of hometown pride with a tight-knit community of Bostonians. From art to history to great food to wicked sports teams, Boston offers up a little something for everybody. Like what? You might ask. Well, keep on reading to find out.

1. Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

With an almost overwhelming collection of paintings, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, manuscripts, rare books, and decorative arts, there’s no room for boredom while wandering through this museum. Offering beautiful gardens and landscape both inside and out, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum showcases that nature in itself is art.

2. Blackbird Doughnuts

Who doesn’t love doughnuts? Believe me when I tell you that these are hands down some of the best, if not the BEST, doughnuts I’ve ever had. Swing by and pick yourself up one or six or maybe a dozen, I won’t judge.

3. SoWa Vintage Market

Looking for a sick new leather jacket? How about a cow print lamp for your bedside table? Do you collect old comic books? Whatever you’re looking for, chances are you can find it here. (Open every Sunday 10-4.)

4. Check out a sporting event!

Whether it’s the Red Sox playing over at Fenway or the Bruins tearing up TD Garden, one thing is for certain. Boston teams never disappoint!

5. Take a stroll through Public Garden

With a variety of flowers and trees to look at, grassy areas to lounge in the sun, and swans and ducks swimming across the pound, Public Garden is like stepping into a whole new world. It allows you to reconnect with nature and provides you with some much-needed greenery in a bustling city like Boston.

6. Shop around Faneuil Hall

Wanna shop, shop, shop till you drop? Then this is the spot for you! With four market buildings full of novelty stores, well-known brands, and cute little kiosks, this place offers up a little something for everyone. Even if you just enjoy people watching or window shopping (because let’s face it, I know I’m definitely balling on a budget), this is a go to spot for your Boston trip.

7. Take a walk through the Charles River Esplanade

Looking for a place to sit back and relax after a long day of walking around Boston? Well, this is the spot. Take a seat on one of the benches or even the dock and let the cool breeze from the river hit you. Despite the park always being full of people, there’s a level of peace and overall comfort that envelops you the moment you glance out at the water.

8. Check out the North End!

North End is Boston’s Little Italy. It’s the oldest neighborhood in Boston and even home to the Old North Church which played a key role in the Revolutionary War. Remember that Paul Revere guy? Well, this was his launch point for his famous ride. You can even check out the Paul Revere house built around 1680.

9. Visit the Old State House

While it might look a little out of place among all the skyscrapers that now tower over it, one can’t deny that it is kinda cute. More than that it’s full of history! It’s the oldest standing public building in Boston, the Declaration of Independence was read from the balcony here, and the Boston Massacre took place just below it!

10. Try a cannoli from Mike’s Pastry!

They have a wide variety of flavors from ricotta to pistachio to amaretto and even Nutella! If cannolis aren’t your jam, they’ve got loads of other goodies to try like biscotti, brownies, lobster tails, and even gelato!

These are just a few of my suggestions. Boston has plenty more to offer from where that came from and if all else fails maybe just go toss some tea in the harbor?

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
