The Cast Of "Even Stevens" Then And Now

Because Shia deserves more credit.

The Cast Of "Even Stevens" Then And Now

It's the Disney Channel Original Series we all know and love. Shia LaBeouf starred as Louis Stevens, the ultimate prankster, in this (how was this seriously only made for) three-year series. Its plot twists upon plot twists: from surprise relationships, to intentional sabotage, to — perhaps the greatest plot twist of all — Steven Anthony Lawrence's "now picture." Who knew the bacon-loving kid next door would grow up so fast? So, without further hesitation, here is the cast "Even Stevens" then and now.

1. Shia LaBeouf as Louis Stevens

Then:

Now:

After a few of his more public mental break downs (his "Just Do It!" video — no, it wasn't Nike sponsored — and his I'm-watching-every-movie-I-ever-acted-in-but-I'm-going-to-do-it-in-a-hoodie spectacle, the inspiration), Shia's still going strong. He's an inspiration for popular memes everywhere — we're proud of you, Shia.

2. Christy Carlson Romano as Ren Stevens

Then:

Now:

Christy Carlson Romano rocked the roll of the in-charge, all-knowing older sister. Since her big break on the show from 2000-2003, she's gone on to star as Kim in "Kim Possible" — yes, she is a big deal.

3. Nick Spano as Donnie Stevens

Then:

Now:

Ah, yes — the big brother Donnie Stevens. Adorably confused for most all of his appearances on the series, we held him near and dear to our hearts. Since 2003, Spano hasn't acted much outside of this defining role, but nonetheless, he still appears to be doing well.

4. Tom Virtue as Steve Stevens

Then:

Now:

The real question for Virtue is — has he even aged? Steven Stevens — what a guy. He's kept himself under the radar since his early-2000s Disney fandom, and understandably so. He was kind of a big deal.

5. Donna Pescow as Eileen Stevens

Then:

Now:

The lovely Eileen, bold and colorful as ever. Although Millennials may know her best for her role as the assertive, and often hialrious, mother to Louis Stevens — Donna Pescow actually got her start on "Saturday Night Fever," starring alongside John Travolta in 1977. She's also stayed off the grid since the show's end, but she's proved to have aged well.

6. A.J. Trauth as Alan Twitty

Then:

Now:

Oh, Twitty. We miss you, bud. When he's not busy being Tumblr-famous (for his seamless transition into adulthood, just look at that "now" picture!), today you can find him alongside his beautiful wife, the lovely actress Leah Pipes.

7. Margo Harshman as Tawny Dean

Then:

Now:

She was the angsty, cool-girl and best friend of Louis on the show — and don't deny that, yes, we all aspired to be her (choppy hair and all). Harshman's had some successful years in show business since leaving the show. Today you can see her on episodes of "Modern Family," "NCIS," "The Big Bang Theory" and several others.

8. Steven Anthony Lawrence as Bernard "Beans" Aranguren

Then:

Now:

Yes, the one and only, the star pupil, the cream of the crop — quite literally — it's Beans. Cherished for his adorable role as the questionable neighbor next door, a friend when needed, Lawrence is known best for his role here in the 2000-2003 Disney series. A popular childhood actor, he appeared in several movies during and after the show: "The Cat in the Hat," "Kicking and Screaming," "Cheaper by the Dozen." However, since his budding start, it seems he's taken a break from the trap life, settling into this new lifestyle of luxury, fame and honorable mention for his Twitter-famous transformation. We miss you, Beans.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
