It's Not The Toronto Raptors, But This'll Do

As Deadspin's headline read -- may we all love our jobs as much as Vince Carter.

It's Not The Toronto Raptors, But This'll Do

The oldest player in the NBA is heading to Atlanta for his 21st season.

I have to admit, I'm pretty sad he's not going back to Toronto because him? On the Raptors? Again?

I really would've cried some tears of joy just like when Mo Williams and LeBron reunited on the Cavs.

Either way, the NBA veteran is going to be play alongside the younger generation (or should I say they'll be playing alongside?). The Hawks landed two players which are first-rounder Trae Young and 2017 first-rounder John Collins.

Now, according to Deadspin, Carter and Dirk "German Jesus" Nowitzki will tie Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, and Kevin Garnett for the most NBA seasons played ever.

That's insane.

Over the last 21 seasons, Vinsanity has averaged 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists, HOWEVER, those numbers do not capture the absolute monster and ridiculous talent that this phenom is.

Let's see what else Deadspin has to say about this:

"It's mainly just incredible that this specific old-man version of Carter, who's so far removed from the athletic god embedded in our memories, has been around to marvel at since at least 2014. Carter's continued stints with teams like the Grizzlies, the Kings, and now the Hawks—not as a glorified assistant coach, but a guy who gets real minutes—are the actions of a man who just must love playing basketball."

V.C. will be joining the Hawks for one year and for $2.4 million.

The man has scored 24,868 points, established himself as an eight-time All-Star, and he -- arguably -- had one of the best dunk contests/best dunker of all time. I think he's doing ok in life.

Let him teach these youngings a thing or two.
