For those Wildcats out there that are wishing the summer never ends, here are some reasons to look forward to going back to Villanova this fall.
1. Move in
Moving back to school is the best. Okay, actually moving all your stuff in stinks, but being reunited with your friends that you haven't seen in three months is really exciting. You can't wait to catch up and talk about your summer adventures over a cup of coffee at Holy Grounds or dinner in the Pit.
2. Day of Service
What better way is there to bond with the other members of an organization you're in than by doing service together? If you're lucky, you'll get to paint a school and not get stuck outside gardening all day.
3. Special Olympics Fall Festival
Fall Fest is one of the most exciting times of the year at Villanova. Everyone comes together to help and support the athletes. Nothing says school spirit more than music blasting and people dancing in the Quad all weekend.
4. Hoops Mania
The official start of basketball season. Who cares if you have no idea who the performer is? Have some fun with your friends and enjoy the excitement in the Pavillion when the basketball team takes the court.
5. Football games
Basketball isn't the only sport Villanova is good at. I mean, we're not at the same level as teams like Ohio State, but our football team did really well last season! If you don't enjoy the game, at least go to the tailgates.
6. Leaves changing colors
There's no better Insta than the Villanova Chapel when the leaves start to change colors in the fall. Do you really go to Villanova if you don't post a picture of the church on Instagram at least once?
7. Fall break
Fall break is the perfect time to do a Habitat or missions trip. You should definitely do one of these trips before you graduate - they are a huge part of the Villanova experience. If you don't go on a break trip this fall, look forward to going home and having a week to relax and de-stress.
8. Homecoming
All your friends that graduated last spring will be back for Homecoming weekend and the football game. Look forward to hanging out with them for a whole weekend!
