"Video games are for kids, you're 21, why are you still obsessed with them?"
Those lines I've heard from a variety of people from my parents to my relatives. Yes, I still enjoy video games just as much as when I was a kid. Since I'm an only child, I've always had to find ways to entertain myself. Ever since I was eight, I remember my father bringing me to Walmart to buy a Gameboy Advance. I was really excited because I bought a Harry Potter game and a Pokemon game. Of course, my father had to teach me to play for a few times then I got the hang of it.
Minutes turned into hours and I couldn't stop myself. I was so immersed into the game that I didn't want to be distracted, although I had to stop at some point because my eyes were getting tired.
Fast forward to the present, I bought a Playstation 3 a couple years ago, I had the option of the Ps4 or Ps3 but I chose Ps3. Why? I just wanted the Last of Us, then it wanted Grand Theft Auto V and I wasn't sure what games Ps4 had to offer. Now that Ps4 offers even more games, the graphics are amazing, especially for the Ps4 and Ps3.
Some people might not understand why I love video games so much. The answer is simple. I enjoy controlling my actions in a video game when I can't control things in reality. What I mean is, there are some things that just won't work out, but playing games help me de-stress. Also, the graphics, gameplay and storyline really captures my attention.
I also don't have many summer plans to hang out with people and the only time I ever play video games is during the summer so I am trying to play as much as I can without hurting my eyes. I have to play video games with my glasses now, which is a plain but it's helpful.
Video games are action packed as well so whenever I don't have much adventure in my life, or during the day, I pretend I'm in the game kicking people's butt.
A couple of video games I really enjoy are "Grand Theft Auto V," "The Last of Us," and "Batman" games but those are just to name a few.
I will never get tired of video games so whoever dates me should know, me and my video games are a package deal.
