For many people the Oscars, Grammys, or VMAs are some of the most anticipated events of the year. These award shows give hard working artists and their fans the recognition they deserve in a beautiful night of celebrating the industry, whether it's movies, music, or television. But for those of us who are a little more nerdy, there's a less mainstream award show that usually flies under the radar each year. The Video Game Awards or the VGAs for short is an award show that celebrates not just the gaming industry, but the community surrounding it.
