We've all had that friend, relative, person we don't really know but are friends on Facebook who is studying abroad and posts amazing photos of majestic places and once in a lifetime experiences to social media. Instantly, we're jealous. And let's be real, some of us are probably wondering what we're doing with our lives while they're out exploring the world. That's me: sitting in my dorm room while my sister is experiencing all London has to offer. The food, the sites, the people. You so badly want to be there, living in a spectacular place, experiencing a new city and country. And while, unfortunately, I can't miraculously send you on an exotic vacation, I can offer you the next best thing: a tour of London, all while sitting at your computer.

1. High Tea

First stop is high tea. It's a must while in London. Take a break from your busy day and sit back and enjoy tea with some friends. Plus, everything is better when it’s bite sized.

2. Sky Garden

Take a stroll through Sky Garden, exploring the space and taking in the views of the skyline and city. And better yet, the garden is free to the public!

3. Big Ben, The London Eye & The Palace of Westminster

Don't forget to visit some of the most iconic parts of London. Take a ride on the London Eye, experience Big Ben in person, and walk through the Palace of Westminster: the meeting place of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

4. London's different neighborhoods

One of the best parts of London is that each neighborhood is completely unique. Venture out to Notting Hill or Camden for a new experience with each neighborhood.

5. The Markets

Nothing says experiencing a city better than trying its food. Make your way to the London markets (specifically the Borough and Camden markets) to try food from all around the world, as well as local London delicacies.

6. The British Museum

Filled with a multitude of art and pieces of work the British Museum is a great place to learn more about both European and world culture and history. The beauty of the building itself illustrates the artistry one experiences on a visit to the museum.

7. Buckingham Palace

A famous site in London, the Buckingham Palace is home to the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. Go and see the beautiful architecture, and if you're lucky, you might even see the Changing of the Guard.

8. See a show

London is known for their theater, so make sure to catch a play while you're there. Currently, shows include Les Miserables, Kinky Boots, and Phantom of the Opera.

9. Picnic on Primrose Hill

Grab a picnic, and make your way to Primrose hill to enjoy a meal outside with a beautiful view of the city.

10. Travel outside the city

While there is so much to do in London, take a break from the city, and go and explore the rest of England. A day trip to Cambridge or Stonehenge is so worth it.

These ten sites only begin to explain all that London has to offer. I hope you enjoyed the virtual tour of the amazing city that is London, and one day, you'll be able to experience London, or another incredible place.

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
