1. Veggie or black bean burgers.
I am obsessed with veggie and black bean burgers, I could eat one every day. My favorite veggie burgers are Sweet Earth Mediterranean flavored burgers or the Morning Star Farms garden veggie burger. Both can be found in the freezer sections at your local store, but it may vary. Many restaurants also offer veggie or black bean burgers on their menus.
2. Cauliflower tater tots and fries.
One reason why many people choose to become vegan or vegetarian is for better eating habits. Many fast-food joints also cook their fries in oils that include animal fats and products. But when you are craving some French fries, try these as an alternative. Many different brands make variations of these, but my favorite comes from Birds Eye.
3. "Skinny" popcorn.
Everyone loves popcorn, but it typically comes covered in butter and a lot of salt. A great alternative would be Skinny Pop or Boom Chicka Pop, both are very low in calories, vegan and gluten-free. Be careful, it just may become your go-to snack!
4. Switch to oat milk with your morning cereal.
Many of us, who drink milk alternatives, may choose almond milk or coconut milk. Both are great in taste, but not so great for the environment. Oat milk uses the least amount of water in production and is free from gluten, any nuts, soy, and dairy. Like almond milk, it comes in different flavors, I personally love Planet Oat's vanilla oat milk.
5. Annie's Homegrown bunny crackers.
Everyone loves a good cheese cracker or chocolate cracker, Annie's Homegrown can provide all of your snack cravings for a low price, while keeping your snacks occasionally gluten-free but always organic, maybe even vegan. My favorite vegan option would have to be the snicker-doodle bunny cookies. Annie's Homegrown also has a variety of other foods, my all-time favorite being their cheddar macaroni and cheese shells.
Last advice!
Always read labels if you are unsure whether or not a product may fall within the category of vegetarian or vegan. Look for meat flavorings, gelatin, animal fats, dairy if you;re vegan, eggs if you choose to cut those out as a vegetarian, always if you're vegan. Do your research before choosing to commit to either of these dietary preferences and slowly convert yourself, for nutritional needs.
