A Guide To Eating Vegan At Disney World And Disneyland

In This Article:

About two months ago, I decided to go completely vegan. Until then, I had been dairy-free for about two months. So when my sister invited me to go to Disney World with her, I got to thinking, "What can I actually eat there?" Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World are known for their funky foods that capture the magic of Disney.

When I think of food at Disney, I automatically think of turkey legs and Mickey ice cream bars, though I knew I was not going to be eating either of those. I did some research to find the best vegan eats at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. After my research, I realized that the culinary world is changing and more places are offering vegan foods, and the Disney theme parks are just the place to find vegan foods that are not rice and beans.

Fun Fact: Mena Massoud, who plays Aladdin in the live-action remake of Disney's "Aladdin," has created a project called "Evolving Vegan." With this movement, Massoud hopes to spread the vegan lifestyle across the world by educating people on what it really means to be "vegan."

But now onto the list of my favorite vegan treats at the Disney theme parks!

1. Dole Whip

That's right folks! Perhaps the most famous Disney treat is 100% vegan! (Disney World-Aloha Isle and Disneyland-Tiki Juice Bar)

2. Mickey Pretzel

(Disney World and Disneyland)

3. Mickey Waffles

However, you must ask for them to be made vegan! (Disney World and Disneyland- at various breakfast restaurants)

4. Vegetarian Chili

(Disney's California Adventure-Cars Land)

5. Lefou's Brew

(Disney World-Gaston's Tavern)

6. Caprese Flatbread with Vegan Cheese

(Disney World-Pinocchio Village Haus)

7. Revolutionary Meatloaf made with an Impossible Burger base

(Disney World-Liberty Tree Tavern)

8. Tofutti Ice Cream

(Disney World and Disneyland-various locations)

9. Vegan Gumbo

(Disneyland- Royal Street Veranda)

10. Vegan Burger

(Disney World and Disneyland-various locations)

11. French Fries

You can never go wrong with french fries!

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
