I've never really been a fan of Valentine's Day. I don't like fancy dinners or flowers or chocolate (I know, I'm ridiculous). It's cool to celebrate love, but it baffles me how upset some people get when their V-day isn't "perfect". On top of all of that, I'm as single as you can possibly get, so Valentine's Day doesn't offer very much for me.

Instead of deleting all social media that day and trying to avoid stores and restaurants like the plague, I vote we hold a "Palentine's Day". It seems pretty self-explanatory, but here are some Palentine's Day bullet points for dummies:

- Catch your favorite meal with your best friends and make sure you mention how thankful you are for each other and for those chicken fingers.

- Watch your favorite show or movie and tell your friends how much you love them for liking the same shows. (My household will be most likely be watching Vanderpump Rules, Catfish, Toddlers & Tiaras, or the Food Channel.)

- Buying gifts is 100% allowed as long as it is wine, beer, or candy.

- Wear something blue. Valentine's can keep their sissy pink.

- Instead of giving Valentine's cards, exchange memes over text.

- Rather than following into a lame routine like most Valentines do (dinner and a movie sound familiar?), promise to make every Palentine's Day fun with a new adventure.

So, I'm sure you get the idea. This will be my first Palentine's Day and to be honest, I've never been so excited for February 14 before.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
