Valentine's Day Is A Drag

If you've ever been single on Valentine's Day, you're well aware that this Hallmark holiday can be a bit of a bother, especially if you don't have a boo thang. From the awkward spike in PDA to the pressure to get yourself cuffed, February 14th can prove particularly stressful for singles. Valentine's Day can be a drag, but whether you're taken or you're flying solo, you're sure to enjoy these Valentine's Day reaction gifs, taken (of course) from Rupaul's Drag Race.

1. When you make plans to hang out with your single friends and do whatever you want on Valentine's Day

2. ...But your taken friends are off being way too cute together

3. ...And your formerly single pal cancels on Galentine's Day because she got a new man.

4. When your friend's Valentine's outfit is semi-busted

5. ...But she tries to mock you for your frock

6. When you spot your crush sitting alone on the 14th

7. ...And their significant other sits down beside them

8. When your friend shows you the corny, cringe-worthy card they received

9. ...And you realize you don't have to spend money getting anyone else a gift

10. When someone asks why you're still single

11. ...And your clapback is a little too savage

12. Wherever you go, there seems to be an obscene amount of couples acting all lovey-dovey.

13. When you start to think about the fact that Valentine's Day is just a front for companies to capitalize by exploiting our insecurities

14. ...But you're still ready to jump on those low candy prices on February 15th

In conclusion...

Yes. Valentine's Day can be a drag, but it doesn't have to be. With the right people (or the right show to binge-watch), you can forget all about the pressure and the clichés and make your Valentine's Day fabulous, fierce, and absolutely sickening.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
