It's becoming that time of year where everyone is nervous because they are single. Valentine's Day makes people start to think that they need a date or significant other in their life. Valentine's Day is the day that everyone starts to act in love or it makes people start to think they need to score a date before the 14th. I would hope that people exemplify their love on days outside of that. Just because you don't have Valentine's date doesn't mean you should be bitter. It means that you're content with being alone and you don't need a date just because you feel like you may need one. In our generation, today people just try to go on dates just to have one. It's terrible that our generation feels like being alone is such a crime. Being alone is amazing.
Nobody is content with just being by themselves they want to show off that they have someone with them. Even if that means that they give no regards to that person. More people need to realize that it is okay to be alone and once you are happy alone holidays like Valentine's Day won't affect you. People spend a lot of money on each other on Valentine's Day and half the times the dates are just one night stands. Why be that to someone? It's degrading to know that you weren't worth anything to that person and vice versa. Know the type of person you are and don't do anything out of the ordinary just to have a Valentine. Valentine's Day is just a day to make you bitter but don't let it, love the ones who love you and even if you don't have a date just focus on yourself.
People come and go constantly regardless of the date and you shouldn't let one day change you. Don't hit the panic on Valentine's Day. It's just another day and you can easily spend that day on yourself. You can go do something for you. Society makes everyone think that you need dates and special things just to feel a certain way but that's entirely false. You can feel whole even without someone around to complement you. A person doesn't have to be there society just forces that upon us. Everyone needs to realize they are enough regardless of what society tells us.
