With Valentines Day right around the corner, girls will be brainstorming about the perfect gift to get their boyfriend. However, do girls really know what guys want? So, I took the initiative and asked my boyfriend what he'd like to receive this Valentines Day (besides love, of course). Here are 10 V-day gift ideas for the special man in your life, from a guy's point of view.

1. Card

Sounds simple enough right? Even though cards may seem like a cliché, they hold sweet, love messages that will melt any man's heart.

2. Homecooked dinner

Nothing says I love you like a homecooked meal. It doesn't have to be fancy, just knowing you put thought into it, will be praised by your man.

3. Handwritten love note

Take the time to write out everything you love about your boyfriend. Make a list of your favorite qualities, features, and the things you love most about your relationship.

4. Cuddles

Who doesn't love a good snuggle while watching Netflix? Plan on a nice and relaxing Valentine's Day: order take-out, pick a Netflix favorite, and enjoy each others company!

5. Photo collage

Whether he admits it or not, your boyfriend loves having pictures of you around. Print of a few of your favorites and create a cute, unique little collage your man will love.

6. Homemade Gifts

Making cute little gifts for your boyfriend shows your dedication to make something he'll enjoy. There's nothing more heartfelt than knowing someone spent time creating something for you.

7. Snack basket

Every guy loves an assortment of all his favorite snacks. Get a cute basket, tie some red and pink ribbon, and you're good to go!

8. Memory box

Every relationship has a story filled with memories that need to be cherished! Remember the best times you've had a create a box filled with all your favorite times spent together.

9. Coupon book

I'm pretty sure every kid made coupon books for their mom in first grade, BUT your boyfriend will love them too! They can be created specifically for your man and filled with all the little things he's love: back rub, free Chipotle, unlimited kisses, etcetera.

10. Boyfriend mug

Every morning when your boyfriend wakes up, he'll think of you right away as he reaches for his handy boyfriend mug. It's cute, clever, and something every coffee lover will adore.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
