With Valentine's Day approaching, you might be asking yourself what can a college student do to impress their valentine? A lot of college students want to impress their Valentine, but they don't know how to do it on a small budget.

Here are some relatively inexpensive Valentine's Day date ideas to do in State College:

1. Shop at the Nittany Mall

Take your valentine down to the Nittany Mall and take a stroll into the pet store. If your valentine is like any other college student, they'll be dying to get some animal interaction.

2. Take pictures at the Lion Shrine

Are you still looking for something to fill the day with? Take a stroll down to the Nittany Lion Shrine and get an extra cute Valentine's Day picture together.

3. Go out to eat

Being in State College means that you have several restaurants within walking distance. I would personally suggest going to Baby's, The Corner Room, or Olive Garden for dinner. All three are relatively inexpensive when compared to other restaurants in State College.

4. Chill out at the Creamery

Being a student at Penn State means that you have access to possibly the best ice cream ever. Finish your Valentine's day by treating your valentine to dessert at the creamery.

5. Walk through campus

Even though its cold out, a walk around campus can actually be romantic.

6. Palmer Museum of Art

Since Valentines day is on Tuesday, Palmer museum will be open and the best part is its completely free.

7. Hit the bar

If you and your Valentine is over 21, Take your date downtown and grab a drink for Valentine's day

8. Paint pottery

Take your Valentine downtown to 2000 degrees and paint your own pottery

9. Shop downtown

Take your valentine downtown to one of the many retail shops in state college, and help get your Valentine decked out in Penn State gear

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
