Elsa Bengu

I have been told that I am too driven for my own good sometimes. It is my drive and determination that I believe will make me very successful within the business realm someday. However in order to be fully prepared for the business world, like any field you have to be well rounded. During my early high school years I was creative in the sense that I wrote short stories and poetry and even did writing competitions which I placed in. Once I got to my senior year and then college, I lost touch with that side of myself by diving headfirst into my schoolwork and all my campus organizations. I believe that by working for The Odyssey I can combine the driven and creative sides of myself to become a well rounded individual Being a part of The Odyssey will take me out of my comfort zone and throw me into a role that I am unfamiliar with, but one that I would enjoy very much. I would have the opportunity to be a part of something that is much larger than myself and write pieces that not only would mean a lot to me but hopefully resonate with others as well just as other articles from other writers on The Odyssey have with me. I believe that I have a lot to contribute and am more than ready for a new experience.
