Meredith Barack

Prior to immersing herself in everything Greek, Meredith, or "Mere", as her friends call her, was born and raised in Vernon Hills, IL. After 15 years of dancing and a short stint on the lacrosse field, Meredith decided it was time to hang up her cleats and jazz shoes and become a Boilermaker! A Purdue legacy, she was excited to begin a new chapter of her life in West Lafayette. Her mom (a Phi Mu) and dad (a Lambda Chi Alpha) had built up Greek life since she was in diapers and were thrilled when she pledged Chi Omega. Aside from being the former external social chair, Meredith has also acted as the Alumni Recommendations Chair during Recruitment, where she was able to show off her knack of memorizing names and faces instantly.  On campus, Meredith is a member of College Mentors for Kids, Association of Women in Communication, and Society of Professional Journalists. With the hopes of becoming an on-air television personality one day, she is currently interning at Artistic Media Partners (WAZY 96.5 in West Lafayette). When she’s not Facebook creeping, shopping for things she doesn’t need, and watching bad made-for-TV movies, she enjoys working out, living a gluten-free lifestyle, and spending unhealthy amounts of time with her pledge class.
