Well, I was born and raised in the beautiful foothills of western North Carolina, in a little town called Morganton. Given that North Carolina is known as the Tar Heel State, and every time I would look at the sky I saw Carolina Blue, the University of North Carolina was the only university I wanted to attend. After a tumultuous high school performance I knew that my only shot of getting into Carolina was to buckle-down and try to improve my academic performance at my local community college. After two years of hard work, where I obtained an Associate in Science degree, I was accepted as a transfer student to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! I am currently pursuing a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in political science and will graduate with the Class of 2019. Although I am gearing my future toward either a career in medicine or biology, I am very passionate about American politics and providing political commentary on current events. The content that I will be publishing here on the Odyssey will most certainly be political in nature; although, I may present topics dealing with biology or Christianity from time to time. As a fair warning, I am a conservative and Republican in my political philosophy, but I am always willing and eager to engage in polite and civil discourse. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to read through my nonsensical ramblings!
