Jamie Halper

I am currently a Senior at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, where I am majoring in Journalism. However, for my final semester of college, I will be transferring to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University's ASU Online Program, beginning in February of 2016. I will be graduating with my BA in Mass Communication this December. As a non-traditional student, I have been working full-time in Digital Content throughout my college career. I currently own and operate a Style Blog, www.cottonandcabernet.com, as well as Created and Founded the Blog for ZeeBerry.com, a designer jewelry website. I have managed the Social Media for ZeeBerry Jewelry (@zeeberryjewelry) and RIPE by ZeeBerry (styledbyripe), PetBox @petbox, taking it to 163k followers before the sale of the company in December 2015 (profile no longer active), @weloverescues on Instagram, and my own Instagram, @cottonandcabernet. Additionally, I currently write for BarkPost, the blog by BarkBark in New York City, where producing humorous and informative articles that consistently go viral is part of my job description. Our blog gets 2.6 million views monthly per SimilarWeb. My career goal is to ultimately be an Editor-In-Chief of a Fashion Magazine, combining my passion for and experience in Fashion and my love for Journalism. I feel that an opportunity writing for The Oydssey, and ultimately working towards an Editor-in-Chief position will give me the tools I need to succeed.
