Many aspects of our life now require technology. Whether it's school or work, most of our daily tasks require some sort of technology. When was the last time you went a day without using your cellphone or laptop? Strangely enough, our lives seem to almost rely on technology. But how much is too much? Here are some instances where you should consider going without technology.

Social Gatherings: Have you ever spent time with friends who can't seem to put their phone down? First off, it's extremely rude. Has technology ruined our social etiquette? You show that your mind is elsewhere, proving you are uninterested. Also, you're missing out on what's going on in the real world. Put away technology and engage yourself in what's going on right in front of you.

Dinner: Whether it's with a friend or family, you should consider putting technology away during this time. Dinner is a time at the end of the day to reflect and talk with others. I've seen and experienced many people using their phones at the table. It's rude and I might as well not have shown up. In person conversations are more meaningful anyways.

Sporting Events: Whether it's a major team or you're watching someone play, odds are you're there for support. If you're at a major sporting event, this is a time to bond with the people you came with and make memories. If you're watching someone you know, you should be focusing on them, not whatever technology you brought along.

Dates: If you're on a date with someone that's responding to text messages, walk out. Seriously, if they don't have your full attention on the first date, it's probably a sign they never will.

Class: As difficult as it might seem, this is an important place to put away technology. Why? It's a distraction. Many classes require technology so this is a perfect example to try and use it wisely. If you're taking notes on your laptop, try to stay off social media websites and spend less time texting. You physically came to class, so you should mentally be there as well.

Sleep: Most everyone uses their cell phones as their alarm clock, but that's not an excuse to literally sleep with your phone. While it's difficult to put your phone and laptop away, it's important to do this while you sleep. Put your phone on silent or do not disturb mode. Disconnect from everything else that's going on and just focus on getting a good night's sleep.

These are just some instances where it would be beneficial to put away technology. While technology is in fact, a great thing, it's also important to use it wisely.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
