13 Reasons Why USC is The Best School Ever
Fits News

As we await college football (aka tailgating) season, let us remind ourselves why the University of South Carolina is the best school ever. Go cocks!

1. Football

We may not have had the best season last year, but with new coach Will Muschamp we're ready to get back on the horse and kick some SEC butt.

2. Tailgating

No one tailgates like us. Trust me.

3. Cocky

Aka the best mascot ever. He rides Segways, he does cartwheels, he even tweets. No one is quite like Cocky.

4. School pride

Even when we're not doing so well on the field, USC students will still be screaming in the stands.

5. Garnet and black

Our school colors look great together and are even flattering on everyone. Not everyone can rock orange, Clemson.

6. Darude Sandstorm

Before I came to USC, I only knew this song as a meme. Now I know it as the song that instantly makes everyone totally hype, no matter where you are.

7. Columbia

Columbia perfectly combines a college town with a capital city, giving you everything a student could possibly want.

8. Weather

No snow storms here, just beautiful days.

12. Food

Maybe it's because I grew up in the north, but I just can't get enough of that southern cooking. Carolina's food was even named #23 in the nation.

9. Five Points

Need I say more?

10. Strom Thurmond Fitness Center

It's beautiful and huge, and I wouldn't want to work out (or people watch) anywhere else.

12. Athletics

Football isn't the only sport. Our women's basketball team, men's baseball team, and equestrian team are just some of the sports that did fantastically last season.

13. Hootie and the Blowfish/Darius Rucker

All four members of Hootie and the Blowfish went to USC, including Darius Rucker, who loved it so much he comes back and gives the students free concerts.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
