1. X-Men: Apocalypse—Friday, May 27

It’s pretty much the typical story of how the existence of innocent humans depend on the outcome of the fight between evil mutants versus the good. Why though? Well, the first mutant, Apocalypse, wakes up to a world which dissatisfies him. He finds a group of mutants and Magneto, and together they wish to rid of humans and set up a new type of world. And of course, the good guys come to protect the humans.

2. The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist—Friday, June 10

As if The Conjuring wasn’t enough, director James Wan has decided to scare the crap out of us again. This film is loosely based on the real-life events of the Enfield Poltergeist happenings that the Hodgson family experienced. A daughter having strange things happen and freaking the crap out of the mother, it's enough to call paranormal investigators, at which the story unfolds. What’s even better, actor Patrick Wilson and actress Vera Farmiga are returning to play the roles of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

3. Now You See Me 2—Friday, June 10

The previous film was magical, and there’s no doubt this one will be as well. The exciting part is that Daniel Radcliffe takes a part in this movie; interesting to see how the guy who played Harry Potter will be the tech wizard that makes the Four Horsemen (our main characters) steal a powerful computer chip. What illusional trick must they deal with now?

4. Finding Dory—Friday, June 17

If you’re around my age, you all remember the journey Marlin took to find Nemo with his forgetful friend, Dory. Well! It looks like Marlin will have to use his searching skills to find Dory this time, who is looking for her family at the same time. P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney was the address Dory recited throughout Finding Nemo, I wonder what she’ll recite this time!

5. Independence Day: Resurgence—Friday, June 24

If you’ve ever watched the 1996 Independence Day, you’d know that Will Smith and his friends defeat the aliens that attacked Earth. Oops. Looks like they’re back! But, this time, Earth’s defenses have improved.

6. The Secret Life of Pets—Friday, July 8

Ever wondered what your pets are doing while you’re gone? Well, it looks like this film can show you that in humorous ways! But there’s more to it than dogs or cats doing silly things, because it’s a story about a terrier who gets jealous of the new dog his owner adopts. Eventually, they have to work together after an army of abandoned pets retaliate on pets that are loved and owned.

7. Star Trek Beyond—Friday, July 22

It looks like the USS Enterprise crew are attacked by unidentified aliens which force them to abandon their ship. They end up on a planet where they get into a conflict with the beings of that planet. Will Kirk and Spock get past this?

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
