Summer is here and that means some friends and families are making plans to take a trip to Disney. It is a highlight of being a kid and is even cooler going back as an adult. So whether you are visiting for the 1st time or for the 50th time, there are always new things to do. Sometimes there are super-unusual things but that is what makes Disney so much fun! So here are just a couple of great and fun things to do at Disney.

1. Get a haircut on Main Street

Right on the street that you walk in from the entrance in the Magic Kingdom, there is the Harmony Barber Shop. It is a full out barber shop that includes a barbershop quartet. You can pay for a haircut there, but it will be best to get there early due to the lines getting long. They don't take appointments, so it is first come, first served.

2. Make your dreams come true and turn into a pirate

From the ages 3 and up, which totally includes adults, The Pirate League will turn you into a pirate with a full beard, makeup, and outfit. You also have several options to be a mermaid, a ghost pirate, or empress. It's a long life dream that can become a reality.

3. You can eat with an Imagineer

An Imagineer is someone who works for Disney, usually behind the scenes. So it can be someone who drew up the plans for the new Toy Story Land or a vet that works in the Animal Kingdom. You will have to pay extra for the whole experience, but you will get a behind the scenes look at what happens at Disney.

4. You can meet characters

There are always a bunch of characters that walk around the parks and interact with guests. So you can get an autograph and a picture from your favorites. Some characters get special little shows or locations that will allow you all to easily find them and enjoy them.

5. The Parade

Every day there is a parade that includes characters and floats. People are able to stand on the curbs of the streets and enjoy the sights and sounds. The parade is at certain times of the day, but you can easily find them on the Disney app or by asking a worker.

6. Nightly light show and fireworks

Every night Disney puts on a show at the castle. They night up the night by putting on a light show on the castle. They also have a big firework show that allows you to sing along to your favorite Disney songs. Also, it gives you chills and childhood flashbacks. You may also be able to see Tinkerbell flying in the air.

7. You can walk through Cinderella's castle

You can walk through the tunnel that goes right under the castle in the Magic Kingdom. You would have to get there either really early or before they put on their shows. When the park first opens, all visitors are able to walk through the castle to get to the park. They also put on shows right in front of the castle, so they block off that area. So getting there before shows will also allow you to walk through.

Disney is such a magical place with lots of magical secrets. You can do so much at any Disney Park and fully enjoy your day. So if you are planning a trip to Disney any time soon, make sure to check out these little gems and get an action-packed day in. You will make memories and have the best day ever. Don't forget to have a magical day.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
