Someone please explain to me why it’s fun to watch 30 girls date one guy at the same time? Do these relationships last? Are they even real?
I have never been a fan of "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette". Personally, I feel like these shows are shaping the way our society views relationships. I completely understand that it’s voluntary and no one is forced to be a part of it, but why?
Everyday, I see girls gripe on social media about their boyfriends not being loyal. They tell other girls to “stay in their lane.” They go back on old posts and change their captions to put their ex’s on blast. They decide to be petty because they want the attention and for people to be on their side. You pull all this crap, yet each week you pile on the couch with your glass of wine and watch girls get their hearts broken over some guy while knowing he’s dating other women. That’s the pot calling the kettle black.
This is the kind of stuff that ruins us. This is not how we as humans should be acting. What’s the point in participating in such demeaning acts? Are you even sure what you’re watching is what actually happened? I’m willing to bet the whole thing is dramatized. REALITY TV IS NOT REAL. And I believe it’s important that everyone sees that.
Sure, it’s all fun and entertaining because the guy’s attractive and the girls are falling all over him like Bambi. Even when the guys do it to the girl, it’s no different. But why are you promoting the behavior that these girls are putting on? Especially if you’re going to shame others for it on social media. But of course, it’s okay because they’re not dating your man, right? Call me old fashioned, but I’d rather meet someone through mutual friends, a bar, or maybe even an airport.
Looking for love is the worst way to find it. Trust me.
