High school was when we all experienced some of the best days of our lives, whether they were going home and taking a nap without having to worry about due dates for class or wearing cargo shorts without any repercussions to our social lives. These days will never come back. Times have changed now, people. Remember when everyone was still 17 and you turned 18 before them? Yeah, well everyone's 18+ now. Remember when you told your parents that you were going to your boy's house, but you were actually going to spend the night with a girl you met off Tinder? Yeah, you don't have to lie to them anymore. Remember when you spent the whole night cramming for an exam and passed with flying colors? Yeah, that's not an option anymore.
In college, you have the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want. People say the classes are what makes college difficult, but I disagree. I believe that the college classes aren't that bad; it's the amount of time we put into them. College classes have a lot of material on their tests, which makes cramming for them nearly impossible.
If you talk to someone who regularly crams for exams, they will try to justify it every way possible. It really is a sad sight to see. "Trust me, it's fresh in my mind so this will be better." Yeah, sure. These are the same people who will tell you that leg day isn't necessary because God made pants for a reason. You just can't trust these people.
A lot more stress comes with cramming for an exam as well. Wouldn't you rather be prepared throughout the week in short sessions rather than popping an Adderall and losing a significant amount of sleep? Plus, you feel like such a star student when you actually study in advance for your exam. The other day I literally texted my mom saying, "Guess what? I'm at the library studying!" This seems like an awesome feat for you, but your mom is sitting at home wondering what else you would be doing other than studying. I don't recommend doing this because she didn't react the way I wanted her to. Rather than texting your mom about it, brag to your friends about studying and make them seem dumb. "Bro, you aren't studying? What are you doing with your life?"
Freshmen, I'm looking at you. Please don't cram for exams in college. Use Study Edge, Smokin' Notes, or even go to class if you're into that. Start studying at least 5 days in advance so you can enjoy your life stress free. We college kids do not need any more stress than we already have.
