Even if you aren't a writer or consider yourself one, we have all experienced writer's block.
This can come from not knowing what to text, or email someone or what to write on a particular
assignment.
The loss of words that cannot be found.
The ability to not be able to form a thought.
Writer's block persuades you to focus on everything that isn't your task
Your social life and personal issues can get in the way of your academic drive. Letting petty college drama distract you is a simple task because it can be so consuming. Finding your happy and calm mental state and letting go of personal distractions will help you renew the motivation that you've lost.
Sometimes you get lots of tasks done that you were planning on doing because you cannot think of what to write.
Such as cleaning your entire room. Doing laundry. Or even grocery shopping.
The list goes on, but unfortunately, your English paper isn't in good form.
You try and brainstorm but there is no way for the thoughts to be let in.
Essays are something that many people struggle with. I've found it especially difficult if you aren't particularly interested in an assigned subject. For me, I have a few writing hacks that can jog your brain for new ideas.
The first thing I do to combat writer's block is relax. A lot of the writing issues that happen are completely mental. If you tell yourself that you aren't capable of completing a task, odds are you won't be able to be successful. Having a positive outlook on what you're doing will help a lot. Another way to relax is to do something that you enjoy to alleviate some of your stress. A good example is taking a bubble bath. You can totally zen out, which will help your mental state and overall assist your focus.
Next, make sure you have a good handle on the topic you're covering. Researching and reading to excess will help you brainstorm. Though it takes a little bit of extra effort, it will really help you plan out how to write an outline and decide what important information for your topic.
Lastly, eliminate any distractions. As a society, we're so connected to our devices. I always have my phone, computer, or tv near me. Even when I'm not focused on them, they are constantly in the background, blurring my focus. So as difficult as it is, clear your mind and keep all distractions at a minimum for ideal completion of your assignment.
