Packing for college is SO hard. Like, before I found these tips, I was all over the place.

If you're going to use bins, use ones that you have another use for

You don't want to be stuck with useless storage bins and nowhere to put them in your tiny dorm! Make sure that if your parents do not plan on taking the bins back with them that you have a home for them and a purpose.

Fold all clothes beforehand or put clothes you're hanging on hangers

This is going to make putting your clothes away so much easier and hassle-free, and you will for sure thank yourself later when you can actually go out with new college friends instead of folding all your T-shirts

Vacuum bags may just be your best friend

To save space you could use these to store all the clothing you are taking with you and items such as pillows, this way there is more space in the car for bigger pieces.

Assemble everything furniture-wise, if you have the room, that way everything is organized already

If bringing more drawer units or storage units put them together at home first, and then fill them with the items you were planning on doing, this way you just need to put them where you want in your room.

Only bring clothes for before Thanksgiving break if you plan on going home, same goes with shoes

This could also work for Christmas break, but don't bring too many clothes with you that you have no space for. Make sure you have enough to get you through the time you will be at school, but you don't want to have an abundance of the same pieces.

Get decorations that are easy to pack, or buy them when at school/in your college town

Make sure that your super cute decorations aren't going to be more of a hassle than a cute addition, otherwise just save buying decorations for when you get there!

Label, label, label

This will also make your life so much easier and you will have such less stress on your plate than if you didn't.

Put similar items together in bins

This one is kind of obvious, but putting everything you need for one area in one bin will make move in 10 times easier.

Get flexible storage so you can use all space available in your car

Similar to vacuum bags, you want to utilize every little area possible so you can bring everything in as little amount of cars as possible.

Good luck with move in! Can't wait to meet my Rhody sisters soon!

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
