I'm the girl that's too caring. I'm the girl that sees people for who they could be, not who they are. I see a million faces when you only see an old man.

I'm the girl that will challenge you. I won't just accept what you say, I'll ask you why and push your buttons. I'll drive you fucking nuts with all my hypothetical questions and thoughts of The Universe.

I'm the girl that believes people deserve more than one chance and that people truly can change. I'm the girl that's sassy and goofy one minute and quiet and sad the next. I'm the girl that refuses to give up, even when you beg and scream at me to.

I'm the girl that's needy as hell one day and independent the next. Some days I'll want to be held and others I'll need to be held back from jumping the train.

I'm the girl that believes in The Universe, carries crystals and always has a motivational quote at hand. I'm the girl that's hard to keep up with, but it doesn't matter because you never even left the starting line.

I'm the girl that writes.

I turn heartbreak into sonnets, tears into poems and laughs into stories. I'm the girl that made you the hero of my story when in reality I was the savior all along.

I'm the girl that cries when she sees a cute dog and could spend hours wandering a flea market. I'm the girl that sees a story in every face and loves hot tea.

I'm the girl that has trouble showing emotions but would walk to the ends of the earth for the one I love. I'm the girl that overthinks everything and reads too much into facial expressions. I'm the girl that will make you question everything you've ever known about love

I'm the girl you open but never finish reading.

I'm the girl you'll think of when you see daisies and the girl that will make you forever view the moon in a different way. I'm the girl you'll think of when you see someone order iced coffee in mid January and you'll think of me again when you hear the faint sound of "The Breakfast Club."

Yes, I'll stay in the back of your mind for ages and there will be times you'll ask if I was the one that got away, but those thoughts never stay.Because I'm the girl that's full of spirit and you never did care for wild things.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
