13 Star Wars Emojis You Didn't Realize You Needed

It's constantly at the back of your mind. You see commercials and trailers whenever you use technology. It's everywhere you go. Your friends won't stop talking to you about it.

Star Wars Episode VII has finally reached theaters. And it was glorious. Don't worry! There will be no spoilers here! (But I would be lying if I said I didn't cry more than once during the movie).

1. Yoda

Yoda, one of the most iconic and powerful jedi from the Star Wars saga, is known for his adorable appearance and weird speech. This would make him a great emoji to use when you think something is cute OR when you have to correct something nonsensical thanks to autocorrect!

Example:

"How many people are you executing?"

"EXPECTING. Darn autocorrect! *insert Yoda Emoji*"

2. Lightsaber

This slicing and biting emoji is perfect to represent sass! It would be comparable to the nail polish emoji or the information desk lady.

Example:

"And I was all like, whatever" *insert Lightsaber Emoji*

3. Darth Vader

This emoji would perfect to show off your dark side. For instance, when you've pulled a prank or done something a little tricky, you could use the Darth Vader emoji instead of the smiling devil face!

Example:

"Maaaaaaybbee" *insert Darth Vader Emoji*

4. The Millennium Falcon

The Millennium Falcon represents going out on the town. Use this emoji when your friends ask if you are ready to go "turn up". Han and Chewie always ran into problems on that ship but they were always ready for an adventure!

Example:

"Are you ready to turn up?!"

"Duh!" *insert Millennium Falcon Emoji*

5. Han Solo

Han Solo is the cool kid on the block. He's cooler than Fonzi, Bruce Wayne, or Nathan Fillion (sorry Nathan)! Pair it with the sunglasses emoji for a great combo!

Example:

"Rocked my last final" *insert Han Solo emoji*

6. Chewbacca

For when you just don't know what to say.

Example:

"Hey where should we go out to lunch?"

"Uhh.. ??" *insert Chewbacca emoji*

7. Princess Leia

You could use this when you are having a bad hair day OR when you've finished a sassy feminist rant.

Example:

"Ugh my hair will NOT cooperate today" *insert Princess Leia Emoji*

8. Han & Leia

The original relationship goals started with Han and Leia, aka the cutest couple ever to be on the big screen. This is far better than the regular love emoji that we currently use.

Example:

"#relationshipgoals" *insert Han & Leia Emoji*

9. Force Choke

The force choke could be used when you're in a fight with someone, when someone is being irritated, or when Bae forgets your dinner plans.

Example:

"Sorry, honey, I can't come over. I forgot about this huge Psych paper that I have to write."

*insert Force Choke Emoji*

10. C3PO

Everyone needs an obnoxious robot in their emoji lives.

Example:

"I hate to be a stick in the mud but is that the best idea...?"

"Don't be such a c3po *insert C3PO Emoji*

11. R2D2

R2D2 beeped his way into our lives and into our hearts. Use this little guy while flirting, after calling something "so cute omg", or alongside C3PO!

Example:

"I hate to be that guy, but cats aren't allowed in your dorm.."

"See, this is why you're *insert C3PO Emoji* and I'm *insert R2D2 Emoji*"

12. Jabba the Hutt

What could be lazier than Jabba the Hutt?

Me on a Saturday.

Example:

"I literally haven't gotten out of bed all day" *insert Jabba Emoji*

13. Luke Skywalker

Han Solo might be the cool guy, right, but Han Solo was like bad boy cool. Luke Skywalker is a different kind of cool. He's the protagonist. He can play Jedi mind tricks. He can use a lightsaber. And he's got a snarky sense of humor. If Luke Skywalker had a smart phone, he'd be using the smirking face emoji all the time.

Example:

"I see what you did there" *insert Smirking Face Emoji + Luke Skywalker Emoji*

Hopefully these emojis will become a thing.

May the force be with you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
