Being new believers, we have many questions and many curiosities. Don’t be discouraged but be encouraged by these questions. These questions and curiosities present the hunger and eagerness to build a relationship with God. It is a transition, a process and a relationship that must be continuously built.
Many people are going through transitions in life, even at this very moment. Every transition is like taking a new path on the highway. On that pathway, you may not be able to see clearly, know what kinds of twists and turns there will be, or what unpredictable storm is headed your way. With a strong trust in God, you will be led to shelter when the storm arises.
Trust in God like you trust the car you drive in to take you to your destination.
Trust in God like you trust the chair you sit in to support you.
Trust in His unfailing love and you will not worry about being blind on the road because you will be guided by his eyes and do not worry about how many curves there are in the road for He will take the wheel and guide you.
The situations we are put in as new believers are tests to our faith and lessons for our souls to learn from. The amazing thing about God is that “if we are faithless, he remains faithful” (2 Timothy 2:13). Be cautious not to take this as a light piece of scripture. This scripture doesn’t follow this phrase: it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.” This scripture follows the truth that says we are sinners and this flesh we live in is nowhere near perfect but when we believe in the Gospel, we are forgiven and he does not give up on us even when we are uncertain.
“You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better that we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and you have done nothing on your own.” (Ephesians 2:8)
Know that you are forgiven by the King of all Kings and use that as your encouragement to walk by your faith and remain faithful to him as he remains faithful to us. Our flesh needs food in order to grow and our spirits need God in order to continue this walk in faith. Nourish the body and feed the soul. Stay hungry for the Lord.
“What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
“I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13)
