8 Unexpected Thrift Store Finds

This weekend I went thrift shopping around my local thrift stores. Before I headed out, I asked some people what they would expect to find. Then I went on a search to find those item!

I found ALMOST everything they did not expect to find! Thrift stores are so often thought of as dusty and old, but they actually have lots of unique treasures!

1. Name Brand Clothes?

A Calvin Klein blazer for under 10 bucks!!

2. Tools

I actually found several tools. I saw a flash light, hammer, and screwdriver!

3. Prom/homecoming dresses

This was one of many nice dresses! For 7 dollars!

4. Art Supplies

This was actually something very hard to find! I found these ornaments! However, I love diy projects! I found materials to be the base of 3 DIY gifts I am making! I will most likely make an article about those too!

5. Updated electronics

This one was certainly a bust! Most electronics were pretty outdated.

6. However,  there was a great amount of kitchen appliances!

7. Furniture

There was a lot of low priced furniture! My fiancè even got a computer desk! For 20 bucks!!

8. Books from the past ten years

this one is from 2015! There were tons of very interesting kid, teens, and adult books!

I hope this article encourages you to go thrift shopping! It is essential for our environment! Shopping second hand makes you ecological footprint much smaller! Plus, it leaves your wallet thicker!

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
