We've known for a while women don't earn the same salaries men do. It has been forced to become accustom to them over time. This problem is hard to accept even to for a man like me. Acceptance becomes more difficult when some women aren't able to earn the amount others of the same gender do.
In general it's thought all women don't make as much as men. It's also believed they must all make the same amount as each other then, but this isn't true. Dana Ford of CNN provides charts showing this.
The chart displays the pay women receive is dependent on women's race. Race should have nothing to do with the amount of a salary. Money is earned and should be distributed evenly.
Like I said above, pay should be equal. It;s bad enough when it has been unequal by gender. The issue become even worse when race, age, etc. make pay more uneven.
I don't think enough people are aware that this is happening. I wasn't until I stumbled across it while browsing CNN. Salaries should be based on work put in, not who someone is. When we put down others for being different it makes them feel like it's a bad thing. It shouldn't be, who someone is shouldn't effect them in the workplace or anywhere for that matter.
