Every time someone asks me where I went to high school I proudly say, "LVA". The first response I get to this is, "Oh, isn't that school different?". That is absolutely correct. It's completely different than any school you've ever been apart of, and I'm not too sure what kind of person I would be without it. So, here is a small list of things you'd only understand if you went to Las Vegas Academy
1. Yes, it was normal to see homeless people on the way to class. Sometimes, they would even walk with you.
2. Leotards and tights were considered normal clothing.
3. If you didn't experience a lockdown at least once a month, did you even go to LVA?
4. Frazier bathrooms were the absolute worst.
5. If you were an underclassmen that parked in front of the PAC, be prepared to get dirty looks.
6. And speaking of parking, 98% of the time you had to park on sketchy streets.
7. You learned that judgement should never be tolerated.
8. You respected everyone for the amount of hours they would dedicate to their art.
9. What's homecoming?
10. You felt like a complete rebel when you snuck off campus for lunch...even though everyone did it.
11. You would never trade your experiences for a "normal high school".
