Spooky Season Is Here And So Are These 7 Underrated Netflix Series You Have To See

In This Article:

Netflix is a necessity for life. And no, that's not an exaggeration at all.

During the summer, before I went to work I would go through Netflix and try to find movies and tv shows that I hadn't seen. I would scroll and scroll trying to find something that wasn't boring, had an actual plot line and had more than a couple seasons (who doesn't love binge watching?).

After two months and many, many seasons later, I have made a list of the best tv-series on Netflix that are far superior to many of the shows I had watched previously.

Now that spooky season is here, and with more time for "Netflix and Chill," there are seven underrated series that you should definitely watch over the clichés.

1. "Peaky Blinders"

By order of the Peaky f--ing Blinders you have to watch this series. The Irish gang leader, Thomas Shelby, will win all the girl's hearts and have all the boys wishing they were apart of the gang.

2. "Once Upon A Time"

Do you love fairy tales like Snow White or Rumplestiltskin? Do you know them like the back of your hand? Oh, how wrong you are. This series will show you the ins and outs of the fairy tales you think you know, and you'll fall in love with characters you'd never expect.

3. "Series of Unfortunate Events"

Think back to the elementary school days when you read these books and always begged for more. Now you've got it! This series makes you feel truly nostalgic for your childhood days.

4. "Anne With An E"

Where was this show five years ago when I was going through some of the same things Anne is going through? This show is phenomenal and every young girl should watch it. It will make your heart melt like the marshmallows in your pumpkin spice latte.

5. "Ugly Delicious"

This show not only challenges your taste buds but your mind as well! Is that my stomach growling or am I gonna get sick...

6. "The Great British Baking Show"

This one won't make you get sick, unless British accents count. This show will inspire the cook in all of us and isn't the same old same old like Chopped or Cupcake Wars.

7. "Making A Murderer"

So much better than every re-run of "48 Hours" and "Dateline." This series will have you pause your Netflix and Chill and wanting to know every detail from start to finish.

After all of your trick-or-treating, grab your "boo" and settle down on the couch to watch these seven underrated series while binging on all of the candy and the romantic light from the jack-o-lantern lights up the room.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
