Every Disney fan can probably name the classics. And those classics most likely feature a princess or prince that you could find walking around any of the Disney parks. But I’m here to tell you about the princess-less animated Disney movies you have to see.
"Meet The Robinsons" (2007)
A boy genius creates a time machine that is stolen. As he is about to give up on his dreams, a boy from the future whisks him back to his home in the future where the boy genius becomes a part of a family he never had. Theme: The importance of family.
"Home On The Range" (2004)
A family of barnyard animals lives in peace until the farm is about to be bought by a notorious rustler. They have to band together to save the farm and save the family they have created. Themes: Family, unity and justice.
"Brother Bear" (2003)
A boy’s brother is killed by a bear, and after killing the bear, turns into one himself. He must go on a journey to a place where the lights touch the earth to return to his human form. He is joined by another bear along the way, and all the while must escape the clutches of his third brother who is hunting him to kill him. Theme: Brotherhood.
"Treasure Planet" (2002)
The thrill of adventure and a map to a thousand treasures leads one young adventure-seeker on the journey of a lifetime. This movie is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s best-selling story “Treasure Island.” Theme: Greed and loyalty.
"Atlantis: The Lost Empire" (2001)
A young explorer discovers the location of the lost city of Atlantis, and is joined by a motley crew of explorers. Finding more than they thought they would, the young explorer must make a choice between his crew or the freedom of the people of Atlantis. Theme: Justice and anti-capitalism.
"Dinosaur" (2000)
An iguanodon is raised by lemurs, but when the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs hits earth, he must team up with his lemur family and other dinosaurs and search for a new home for them all to live. Theme: Family and loyalty.
