Generations of children have grown up watching Disney movies. We all have that one song we sing in the shower to this day and we can all recall that one scene that changed our lives forever (RIP Mufasa). However, a lot of people do not want to admit they like most of the sequels to their favorite classic Disney movies. I will be the first to admit that there were a lot of misses when it comes to Disney sequels but there are a few out there that deserve our respect.

1. Aladdin and the King of Thieves

This street rat first stole our hearts when he rode in on his magic carpet. However, this sequels shows you Aladdin's tragic childhood and introduces his very, VERY handsome father.

2. Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World

Our favorite princess is back and she's kicking butt once again! Pocahontas journeys to England and encounters a complete culture shock.

3. Lion King II: Simba's Pride

It's hard not to love the sequel to what is known as the best Disney movie of all time. This beautiful lion Romeo and Juliet story will make you laugh, cry, and cheer. Also, the music is incredible!

4. The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea

This time around Ariel is getting a taste of her own medicine while dealing with her wild child teenage daughter, Melody. It is a mother/daughter story that will warm the coldest of hearts.

5. An Extremely Goofy Movie

This movie is my personal favorite Disney sequel. Goofy follows his son, Max, to college and they get into a bunch of crazy shenanigans while completely in the College X-Games. But, the best part of this movie is definitely the father/son disco dance off. Trust me, you will not regret watching this movie.

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
