Humans
Mankind, created
From dust
Molded out of clay;
They are My Children--
Why do they act this way?
They murder, covet,
Steal, injure, lust--
Oh, don't they know
They are merely dust?
What they do is wrong,
But I cannot help
Loving them all along.
So, with grand scheme
In mind, I
Play my Card.
He is My trump card--
He is My Witness, Lawyer,
Defendant at the stand,
But most of all...
He is I.
The Great I AM.
I AM My own Undercover Agent,
My own Sacrifice to My Creation,
I know what needs
To be done.
Writer's Note: This week, I was inspired while sitting in my Shakespeare class. For class, we had to write an online journal entry, regarding the uses of DISGUISES in both "Measure for Measure," and "Merchant of Venice," comparing and contrasting them. That got me thinking: Jesus is God in human flesh, God "undercover," essentially. Not just for obvious salvation and sacrificial purposes, but also so He can better relate to us, His Creations. I thank my dear professor, Dr. Kuhns, for giving me the inspiration. :)
