I consider traveling a must in order to live life to the fullest extent. That is why I began making a travel bucket list for myself of places that I want to visit at some point. This list motivates me first, to work hard so I can afford these trips, and second, to branch out and do things I have never done.

If you are a recent graduate, frequent traveler, or a workaholic who just needs a break, here are some uncommon places to visit around the world.

Azulik

Located on the coast of Mexico in Tulum, Azulik prides themselves on their nature based lifestyle. Its connection with the Mayan jungle and Caribbean Sea make it the perfect romantic getaway.

The Golden Bridge

This 150m long bridge sits in the Paradise Garden of Ba Na Hills, Vietnam. The city itself is said to be a great place for tourists to visit and experience.

Antelope Canyon

The Arizona canyon offers tours year round, but is often booked months in advance due to its popularity.

NOLA

I personally just looove New Orleans. There is so much culture, fun, and liveliness, it never gets old!

Cape Town

This adventurous city is the oldest in South Africa and welcomes tourists to its many wonders.

The Whitsundays

This Queensland destination offers ecotourism, relaxation, and adventure. The Whitsundays is one of Australia's most famous attractions.

Dubai

Dubai has a couple of key attractions, so it would be an injustice to just list one city or thing to do. From camel riding in the desert to dining 828 meters high in the sky at the Burj Khalifa, Dubai has much to offer its visitors.

Alaska

Alaska's northern lights are a must see, but its hot springs and wildlife also make for a good adventure and experience.

Petra

This Jordanian city emphasizes the importance of history and architecture. Its red hues gives it an intriguing look and peaks the interest of its visitors.

Phuket Island

On the coast of Thailand, Phuket is a great honeymoon or relaxation vacation spot. Also, who doesn't want to say they have been to Thailand!?
