I was heading to my 4 p.m. class when I heard the line was already long gone. The doors opened at 7 pm and the eager and dedicated Cardi B fans were not wasting any time. By 8 pm, I had finally arrived at the Mullins Center only to be shocked by the massive line swerving around the venue.

I found my place in line and began my hour or so wait to get inside. This wait was filled with sirens and tears as multiple people were taken away in ambulances. To no surprise, the line was trashed with empty nips and water bottles, there was alcohol everywhere.

When I finally arrived at the venue, I headed to the bowl to find seats with my friends and to no surprise, there were none in sight. Standing in the stairway, we watched and danced to Party Favor, the surprise opening DJ. His music was straight out of a high school party; the best throwback jams, the best rap, and hip-hop and just overall very fun pump up songs. By the end of his set, everybody was ready to party with Cardi.

Cardi finally came on blasting “Get Up 10.” By mid-song, she finally made her way onto center stage killing it in a red striped ensemble. Her set list was minimal, to say the least, taking the stage for around 30 minutes. As she began to play “Motorsport” by Migos, she asked her DJ to rap the male parts of the song.

As he began, you could hear the rasp of his voice which he was clearly was struggling to make any sound at all. Cardi threw her head back, clearly annoyed with his lack of voice. She closed with the iconic song “Bodak Yellow” which had the entire stadium screaming and dancing. She then abruptly said goodbye and left fans shocked by her speedy show.

I personally didn’t expect much of a lengthy set from the pregnant star. She killed it just as one would expect and she did it in heels and while pregnant! Is there an award for that? I can barely walk in heels and here she is twerking, dancing and running all around! Literally how?!

I do feel for all my hardcore Cardi fans who waited in the rain for hours to get tickets and then hours again to get the best seats for the show itself. They put in a lot of work for only 30 minutes of performance!

I think that most everyone left the concert thanking Tinder for making their Wednesday night a little more eventful, even if the concert wasn’t exactly what they thought it would be! Although, I do think everyone left extremely disappointed to see rain pouring through the streets. It was a very fast, wet walk home.

Maybe one day Tinder will do something like this again and bring back another star to the zoo for free on a Wednesday night!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
