The Ultimate New York City Bucket List

Whether you've been in New York for 20 minutes, or 20 years, there's always something new to see. Here are 25 things to do in the city that never sleeps. So grab a friend, and a camera, and get ready to have some adventures!

1. Eat breakfast at Tiffany's

And pray that one day you'll be as chic as Audrey Hepburn

2. See Times Square at night.

And marvel at now this never gets old.

3. Go to Coney Island

Ride the wonder wheel, eat some soft serve, and test your endurance in Nathan's annual hot dog eating contest.

4. Go ice skating and drink hot chocolate at Rockefeller Center

And take an insta worth pic of the giant Christmas tree.

5. Have a picnic on the great lawn in Central Park

Watch a pick-up baseball game while you're at it.

6. Buy a fake Chanel bag

Or a fake Prada, there's a variety.

7. Ride the subway

Bonus points if you see a street performer.

8. Take the ferry

There's the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, Ellis Island, Governor's Island- the list goes on.

9. Hail a taxi

Maybe even learn how to whistle to flag one down.

10. Walk the Brooklyn bridge

Keep an eye out for the love locks along the railings. And if you enjoyed this walk, you can also walk across the High Line and the Williamsburg bridge.

11. Eat in Chinatown

And if Chinese food isn't your thing there's also Little Italy and Ukrainian village a few blocks away.

12. Eat food from a food cart

Whether it's late night shawarma or a 6am hot dog, food carts make sure you never go hungry (or hangry) for long.

13. Eat a New York bagel

See if you can taste the difference.

14. Hit up a bodega

Say hello to the bodega cat and grab a sandwich while you're there.

15. Eat a black and white cookie

And wonder why it's a New York thing.

16. Go for brunch

Even if it's just to drink mimosas/bloody Marys.

17. See a free movie

Because New York is expensive, and free is always good. There's also free concerts and free yoga.

18. See a Broadway show

Or if Broadway's not your thing, there's Shakespeare in the Park, several comedy clubs, and a variety of off-broadway and student productions.

19. Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Or the Museum of Modern Art, or the Guggenheim, or the Whitney Museum of American Art, or- well you get the point, New York has a ton of amazing museums.

20. Go to a concert

Whether it's the New York Philharmonic or Green Day, New York is full of music, you need only listen to hear it.

21. Bar hop with hipsters in Williamsburg

Discuss things like gentrification and boxed water while dancing your heart out.

22. Cheer on the Yankees

Or at least attend a game. And if you're into sports, you can also take in a Nicks game or watch the Rangers tear up the ice.

23. Get lost

And find your way back home.

24. Do something that requires a bit of effort

Catch a Manhattanhenge, wait in line for that new club that just opened up, and track down that crazy milkshake shop you saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

25. Fall in love

Fall in love with the city, with yourself, with your friends, with your life, and if you're lucky- with someone special.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
