Every college should have a bucket list of things that you can only do there. SVSU has many unique things to do on campus. Here is my list of the things I believe you absolutely have to do before you graduate!

1. Stroll Through The Sculpture Garden

With all of the beautiful sculptures we have on campus, why not take a few minutes to truly enjoy their beauty as you walk from the center of campus to Health and Human Services or Gilbertson Hall?

2. Wade In The Gazelle Fountain

It's basically the center of campus and an amazing view! Take off your shoes, step in, and relax for a while.

3. Fish In The Ponds

There are several ponds on campus, each one with a beautiful view. Taking a study break to do some catch and release fishing is a must for any SVSU student.

4. Get Scared By The Bell Tower

Our Bell Tower is a great feature of our campus, but find yourself walking past it as it rings, and you'll nearly jump out of your skin every time!

5. Frog Hunt By Founders Hall

Feeling stressed? Go see the beauty of Founders Hall and attempt to catch some slippery frogs from the pond while you're there!

6. Chill Out in The Yien Garden

Whether you go to do yoga, or just sit and think, The Yien garden is a great place to relax.

7. Admire The Beauty From The Fourth Floor Of The Library

Commonly known as the silent floor, it is also a great place to de-stress. Head up there, sit in a chair, look out at our beautiful campus, and count your blessings.

8. Talk To Yourself At The Amphitheater

It's a pretty cool place just to hang out, but did you know that the repressed brick in the center is there for a reason? If you stand on it and face the seats, when you speak, your voice is amplified and echoes back to you.

9. Walk Or Run The Big Loop Around Campus

The three and a half mile trail around campus is a great way to exercise while spending time outdoors.

10. Head Over To The Annual Rings

It may not be in the middle of campus, but the short walk there is worth it. Try taking a picnic or just stopping by to think for a while.

11. Join an RSO or 10

SVSU has tons of registered student organizations, with something for pretty much everyone. If you can't find one you like, all it takes is three people to create your own!

12. Take A Picture At The 'I Love SVSU' Sculpture

It is an adorable sculpture and what better way to show your love for our fantastic university than by posing with this sculpture?

13. Attend Battle Of The Valleys

The energy at the game is incredible, and even when we're losing, the cheers are in full swing. I highly recommend attending both at home, and the other valley.

14. Hammock outside of Wickes Hall

While there are many different places you can hang your hammock on campus, right by the courtyard is a must.

15. Go See A Valley Nights Movie

Free popcorn, free movie that's not out yet? What more can you ask for?

16. Pinterest With Program Board

Make free crafts Tuesday nights in Student Life for free!

17. Party It Up With Coop On His Birthday

Everyone loves Coop the Cardinal! So why not enjoy some cake while celebrating his birthday at the Marketplace?

18. Enjoy Coffee House

Head over to the TSAR every other Monday night and you'll get to enjoy relaxing music along with coffee and donuts! Take a book and study, or go with friends and chat!

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

music sheet

Being a music major is not all kicks and giggles. In fact, there are days when I question my sanity and doubt myself as a musician. I know I am not the only one going through the struggle, and so here are 13 GIFs that I know my fellow music majors can relate to...
