A Charlie Brown Christmas
Charlie Brown is a part of all our childhoods rather we like to admit it or not. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is a classic and will always bring you back to your childhood. It's an animated Christmas tale that we all know and love.
Christmas With The Kranks
A perfect example of why skipping Christmas is a very, very bad idea. Between bad Botox and awful spray tans, "Christmas With The Kranks" delivers a good balance of laughs and sentimental Christmas spirit.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas
This one may not be as popular, but it is for sure a Christmas must-see. Who can deny that Jake (the main character) is low-key hot in a 90s college kid way? Nothing is cuter than a Christmas love story. All the twists and turns of the movie keep you on your feet and the touching end gives you the Christmas spirit.
Four Christmases
A newer one on the list, but still a good one. Nothing will make your family seem more normal than a film about not only one but four different dysfunctional Christmases. There's fighting, cougars (lots of cougars), and barfing babies- what can be more Christmasy than that?
Jingle All The Way
Two words: Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Jingle All The Way" may have awful special effects and questionable acting, but it is nothing short of entertaining, and quite hilarious. This one may not be as well known, but those who know it know it's a good one.
Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer
Even though clay animation can be the cause of your nightmares, it doesn't matter on Christmas, it's precious. Rudolph is such a classic Christmas story. This movie is a much-watch during December. Nothing is cuter than the misfit toys and young Kris Kringle.
Frosty The Snowman
"Thumpity thump thump, thumpity thump thump, look at Frosty go," stuck in your head for months after Christmas. As far as animated movies go, this one is for sure at the top. Your heart will be as warm as the sun that melted Frosty away.
The Santa Clause (original)
Although it is a tad scary watching a man accidentally kills Santa Clause and then takes his job, this movie is a heartwarming classic. Charlie is the cutest little boy and watching Tim Allen progressively get fatter makes for grade A entertainment.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Nothing beats Jim Carrey dressed up as a scary green monster thing. This movie takes the original Dr. Seuss story and makes a great Christmas classic. Funny, heartfelt, and entertaining "The Grinch" is for sure one of the best of all the Christmas stories. You cannot say you hate hate hate, double hate, loath entirely, this movie; it's an every season watch.
A Christmas Carol
Another Christmas classic that is enjoyable and slightly terrifying, each and every year. This movie reminds us all to enjoy our friends and family, especially this time of year. Don't be a Scrooge, watch this classic movie and enjoy Christmas.
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon)
Immersing yourself in 30 minutes of pure cheesiness and crappy animation is the best way to celebrate the holiday season. This movie is personally one of my all-time favorites. We all love the tale of the Grinch and this original is a great quick watch, but never fails to bring me happiness.
Jack Frost
Cue the tears. This movie pulled at the heart strings like no other. Although the snowman/real man is a tad creepy the sentiment of the movie really hits home and makes you appreciate your blessings, isn't that what Christmas is all about?
It’s a Wonderful Life
This is a life-changing movie no matter what anyone says. You cannot tell me this movie doesn't make you cry, hug your mom, hug your dad and then cry some more. "It's a Wonderful Life" is the ultimate Christmas movie and really makes you feel the love of the season, and then cry some more.
Elf
Who doesn't love seeing Will Ferrel in tights? Christmas is in the air in this film when a delusional grown man who thinks he is an elf from the North Pole, tries to gain his neglecting fathers love. "Elf" will forever make me smile and bring elfish joy.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Back when Chubby Chase was actually somewhat attractive, this movie was the best. This movie inspired every child to get the biggest Christmas tree possible. All the laughs, gags, electrocution and quotable moments of "Christmas Vacation" make for an instant classic, and top of the list Christmas film.
A Christmas Story
Possibly one of the funniest Christmas movies of the list, "A Christmas Story" has it all. Evil teachers, evil Santa's, evil aunts who send you awful presents, punishment by soap and an all-around ridiculous and raunchy humor that really makes you feel the Christmas spirit. Not only is this movie an all-time classic, we can really learn a lot from this movie. Don't put your tongue on a freezing cold pole, for any and all Christmas disasters there is always a nearby Chinese restaurant open, and finally, do not get a BB gun, you will, in fact, shoot your eye out.
Home Alone
This may be opinion based, but Home Alone will forever and always make me smile. Nothing screams holidays like a family leaving behind their youngest son and not realizing until halfway through the flight. Young Macaulay Culkin, aka the only version anyone likes, will never fail to make you laugh in his diabolical plan to keep his house safe while he is home alone. It's a classic Christmas with all the tricks and fun, "Home Alone" is for sure on of the best Christmas movies of all time.
