More than often, I find myself struggling for something good to watch on Netflix. Most people are more drawn to watch a film or show that sounds familiar to them. No one wants to watch a movie with a two star rating, but those are often the best. I took a chance and went on a hunt for the best shows/films on Netflix. Here's what I came up with:

1. Amber Alert- movie

A son hijacks a school bus and holds kids hostage in hopes for a ransom to help his mother.

2. Adulterers- movie

Husband comes home from work early to surprise his wife for their anniversary only to find her in bed with another man. He Holds them hostage.

3. Honey Trap- movie

Girl moves back in with her mom but ends up hanging around the wrong crowd. She's more worried about looking cool then hanging out with good people and goes against ethical morals.

4. Shameless-show

Five siblings in a run down neighborhood basically fending for themselves. The father's a drunk and the mother is missing-in-action 95 percent of the time, forcing the eldest child to give up her life to raise the others.

5. Grey's Anatomy- show

Odds are, you've already watched it unless you live under a rock. It'll have you contemplating years of medical school to become a surgeon. This show will also break your heart in more ways than one but it won't stop you from watching it. A woman has a one night stand the night before she starts her residency. The guy she hooks up with ends up being her boss. You'll never catch a break when it comes to this show.

6. Life Unexpected- show

After years in foster care, she finds her birth parents in hope that they'll sign her emancipation papers. Unintentionally they end up getting full custody of her.

7. HUSH- movie

Deaf girl has to fight for her life when an intruder breaks into her house and tries to kill her.

8. One Tree Hill- show

You HAVE to watch this show, it'll actually change your life for the better. The show is based around two half brothers who grew up learning to hate each other because of their father forcing them to compete forstardom on the basketball team. Lots of heartbreaks, laughs and life lessons. Pretty attractive cast as well. You'll never catch a break when it comes to this show.

9. Girl Like Her- movie

*TRIGGER WARNING* Anit-bullying movie that'll truly open your eyes and probably have you thinking about how you treat others. A teenage girl is bullied to the point of contemplating suicide by a group of girls at her high school. Sad part is, her bully sees absolutely nothing wrong about how she treats others.

10. Keith- movie

Natalie, the most popular girl in school, falls for the new guy Keith who seems to be hiding something.

11. How To Get Away With Murder- show

A manipulative, but incredibly brilliant, defense attorney and law professor along with five of her students become involved in a twisted murder case.

12. Save The Last Dance- movie

A white girl in a largely black neighborhood falls into an interracial relationship with a classmate who shares her love of dance.

13. Quantico- show

FBI trainee is framed by one of her classmates. She is on the hunt to discover who set her up as a suspect in a deadly terrorist attack.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
