You know how it goes, you go to someone’s profile on Instagram and all of the pictures look the same. Not only that, but apparently they’re living the most lavish life ever, leaving you thinking, “what am I doing with my life?”. And so, now you want an Instagram aesthetic, because maybe then people will think you have your life together, too.
But where do you even start? Well, this should help you out.
Download a good photo-editing app
Most people go with VSCO, and do you even VSCO if you don't link it in your bio? VSCO is a personal favorite because there are so many ways to edit your pictures. You should probably just download VSCO now.
Edit your photos the exact same
The. exact. same. Did you up the contrast to 8 on your last photo? Better do it to this one! See the example? If you don't make all of your photos as dark as the rest, your aesthetic will be absolutely, completely, ruined.
Pick a color/theme and run with it
There are so many to choose from. Cold colors, warm colors, white, black & white, all photos with the same filter... the list goes on and on. If you don't edit all of your photos the same, then they won't look the same, and that will definitely ruin your theme.
This theme? It belongs to Aspyn Ovard, and she has her life together, so you should probably do this theme, too.
Crop all images the same way
No! You can not crop your images differently if you want to achieve an Instagram aesthetic! You either choose borders or no borders, no other options. That's it.
Collages...
Don't do it. Collages are awesome and all, but they will mess up your aesthetic, and you obviously don't want that. One picture can throw everything off.
One. Picture.
Basically, choose wisely, edit wisely, and post wisely or else you will never achieve that Instagram aesthetic you dream about and want so bad.
And no one will think you have your life put together, either.
