The Ultimate Finals Week Survival Kit

It is the end of the semester -- just one week of apocalyptic, disastrous hell between now and summer break. Here is a list of a few things that will help you to survive your finals.

1. Snacks.

When the going gets tough, the tough pig out. Not only that, they hit the snacks hard core. Just remember that even though you have been out of your dining dollars for at least four weeks, now, that doughnut will be 100 percent worth it.

2. Coffee.

Still have five more hours of studying left to do when 1 a.m. comes around every night of finals week? Turn up with a turbo shot, or three, and you will be good to go for hours. This is an absolute must for finals week.

3. A place to nap.

Because you cannot function without sleep, but also your bed it so far away. The best part about finals week is that you can sleep anywhere you want and nobody can judge you -- so enjoy it!

4. More time.

As those papers pile up, and your procrastination laps around the library turn in to marathons, all you need is a little time on your side. Use the time that you do have left wisely.

5. Your mom.

Feeling like you are gonna break down and cry? Don't forget to give your mom a call. She's cool and always knows just what to say!

6. A tissue.

As allergy season picks the best time to invade campus, make sure you are staying healthy and using these tips to get through finals week alive.

Some focus.

Lastly, you will just need some focus. Finals week is the one week of the semester when you have to just put everything else in your life to the side and focus on class.

Best of luck and have a great finals week!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
