Any fashion-obsessed young woman knows that the Christmas season is the perfect time to revamp your wardrobe - all by adding a few key items to your wishlist. If you are (or if you have a fashion-loving young woman in your life) this is the absolute ultimate shopping list that you will need to have the most spectacular December 25th (hot chocolate not included).

1. Geo Print Makeup Bag

This geo-print makeup bag from F21 is wonderfully ideal for the fashion-obsessed young lady in your life that has WAY TOO MANY beauty products. If you're like me, you probably need a heavy upgrade from the Ziploc bag of your younger years. It's only $7.90 too!

2. Statement Earrings

Bauble Bar is where it's at for statement earrings. They're an easy gift, but definitely adds that sparkle wow-factor. Ya homegirl loves a little sparkle and statement earrings are a great way to add the ba bling ba bling - they're aren't unreasonably priced either at only $39.00!

3. Adidas Superstar Sneaks

You know those shoes that EVERYONE wears and are STILL cool? These are them. If you are a fashion-obsessed lady and are hoping to move to NYC or another big city, start with these shoes. They are practically provided to you as a welcome gift to the city, along with a bagel and a dollar slice.

4. Patterned Hand Wallet

Leave it to H&M to have another killer collab. This KENZO x H&M pouch is not for the faint of heart. It power clashes patterns like a boss. You (or your drooling, fashion-obsessed lady love) will NEED to carry this around everywhere.

5. Faux Fur Pom Pom Keychain

Fur pom poms are everywhere right now. Ladies are throwing them on their key rings, on their bags, on their belt loops - EVERYWHERE! Some people are preferring black puffs, but I personally think that the bright options are a bit more fun. It's a great way to add a pop of color to your all-black outfit and all-black soul. This one is only $3.90 from F21 (which is pretty notorious for having AMAZEBALL stocking stuffers).

6. Velvet Anything

Is it even the holiday season if you aren't swimming in velvet? No? I didn't think so. These embossed velvet paisley booties from the Who What Wear collab from Target are probably the best "secret" velvet addition I've found yet. They're not your typical crush red velvet holiday swing dress of your 90's youth - they're a heavy upgrade! Caution: not your mama's velvet.

7. Embroidered Bomber Jacket

If you didn't know embroidered Bomber jackets are a thing, you have been living under a fashion void rock. They are the coolest upgrade to the typical aviator outerwear since "Top Gun." This look is a little trendy and may not transfer beyond seasons super well, but fashion is cyclical so in no time it will be vintage again!

8. More velvet

Oy, with the velvet again. This time, this velvet headband has rhinestones so you can truly lean into your "ballet school headmistress" former self. Miss Patty would be proud.

9. Faux Fur Stole

Does anything say "luxury bitch" more than a faux fur stole? Didn't think so.

10. Ivy Park All Day

Athleisure is just about the greatest thing to happen to the fashion world since the LBD. I mean, who is going to complain about wearing sweatpants and looking fab? Nobody, that's who. Rock your inner 'yonce by stocking up on her gym wear line.

11. Big Comfy, Camel-Colored Sweater

Does life get better than in a comfy sweater?

12. Adorable Coffee Mug

Carrying around a Sbucks coffee cup is so 2014 - show your style and bring a re-useable everywhere. Make sure it's cute too. Save the environment! Bonus points if it's Kate Spade too!

13. Wearable tech

What's the point of being cute, if you can't be smart too? If you're going to really snazz up your tech game, go for gold - ROSE GOLD!

14. Polaroid Camera

Any fashion guru is going to want to step up her Insta game in a major way. Polaroids are the old school way of being new school. Cute snaps never go out of style.

15. Stylish Earbuds

Oy, with the rose gold again (I know, I made that Gilmore Girls reference twice). These earbuds, though, are FIRE.

16. Hair scrunchies

I know Carrie Bradshaw ruined her relationship with Jack Berger over a hair scrunchie (ok, there were a lot of deep-seeded issues with their relationship including misogyny and overall jack-assery), but baby, there are coming back with all the other 80's and 90's trends. Don't listen to your less-fashionable friends that tell you otherwise. Stay ahead of the curve and rock your scrunchie in Manhattan and beyond!

17. Calvin Klein Underwear

As the old adage goes, "As goes Kendall and Kylie Jenner, so goes the world." A cute set of Calvin Klein underwear is the perfect example of that adage reaching truth.

18. S'well Water Bottle

S'well water bottles are everywhere. Fashion girls are never late to any party (unless it's fashionably so), so get them one of these water bottles. Wood grain is best.

19. Comfy Slippers

Any true fashionable lady will know the value of a good slipper - especially after hours spent in chunky platform heels (trust me, I've been there). Save their (or your!) precious tootsies and get them some slippers. They'll thank you!

20. Gratitude Journal

This is a necessity for not just fashion girls - this should be purchased for every single person in your life. I own this journal, I love this journal. If you don't get one this Christmas, you will have sorely lost out on the most transformative opportunity of your life.

21. Good Skincare Set

Never underestimate the power of a good skincare set. I own the Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater from Mario Badescu pictured above. I love it and 100% think that every fashion girl needs to start with a healthy approach to her skincare.

I hope you have a wonderful, safe and healthy holiday season! Let's get shopping fashion girls!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
